New York

Rhett and I went off on an adventure to New York in great hopes of finding some help for Rhett. The trip was a sucsess for Rhett and Miles had a ball in Georgia with Mimi and Papa and playing with the cousins.
Rhetts outcome was that he has a tethered spinal cord, which he will need surgery on, but the main thing we found out was that he has a calcified artery in his neck. They are not sure why the artery is calcified, the main options are that he was born with a bad artery and it has calcified since then, he has a blood clot that has caused his artery to shut down or that he has a tumor that has killed the artery. The neurosurgeon said that he has never seen anything like it and told us to find a vascular surgeon. He assumes this is the reason that Rhett falls over, but he is not postive, but this is the best lead we have had. So, now we are on the hunt to find a good vascular surgeon.
We want to thank everyone for their help and concern. We will try and keep everyone updated as to what is happening.
We now have a digital camera! so we will be able to get some pictures on here soon. We are also going to try and put some of the 3-D pictures of Rhetts skeleton on here if possible. They are really cool images.

Welcome to our life. I guess I will just start from now and go on from there. We are the Butlers, Rhett, Meric and Miles. Miles is now 1 years old. It's hard to believe they can grow so fast. He is a handful, but a still a sweet boy. He is now tall enough to reach the top of the kitchen counters with his hand. His favorite word is walk, because he loves to go outside and play in the dirt. We'll see if I can get some pictures on here at some point.
